And here’s a review of the book from Dave Prior, Manager of 96FM, Batavia Coast WA.
“There have been a lot of travel books written about Australia, but I have to say that none have jumped out at me more than the Small Guide – and what really impressed me was the shape. For a book, it's near perfect - narrow at the top and longer at the sides...
And let me say that there are books you can pick up and not put down - and books that are hard to pick up, like the Macquarie Dictionary... but the Small Guide is easy to pick up AND put down because it’s also a very good weight. It does everything a book should do really. I mean, you open it up and the pages don't fall out. It's a clever thing that binding process. It's even got the title and the author’s name on the bit down the side, which must make it simple to find on a shelf full of other books...unless it was on a shelf full of the same book but, as good as it is, I don't think anyone would need more than one. It also has one of the nicest contents sections I've ever seen as all the page numbers match up with the page numbers that start each section. Darn clever. And for mine, the most outstanding page number is 293 because it sits just below the last line of words. Getting the right number of words to fit the right number of pages must have been a challenge.
Finally, I must say that it would make for an excellent travelling companion because it doesn’t answer back or sing out of tune with the radio. 11 out of 10.”
